Target Audience
Those persons who are responsible for managing all aspects of entries into confined spaces which include normal working and emergency situations, and who are responsible for the preparation of safe systems of work as required under Section 2(2) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Objectives
To give candidates knowledge of:-
- definition and categorisation of confined spaces
- principal requirements of the Confined Spaces Regulations
- principal duties of person responsible for managing entries into confined spaces
and the ability to:
- carry out risk assessments
- develop safe systems of work using permit to work systems
- put emergency arrangements in place
