Persons who undertake hot working processes. Persons who are employed in all walks of life where the chance of an out break of fire may occur.

Objectives

To be able to identify the correct extinguisher, check and use the correct extinguisher dependent on the classification of fire. Identify the colour coding of extinguisher to indicate safe application of the extinguisher.

Outline Content

The cause and spread of fire. The classification of fire. The construction of fire extinguishers. The identification and selection of the appropriate fire extinguisher. Practical hands on experience of the use of live extinguishers in a safe and controlled environment. Fire fighting video. Written assessment to verify proof of understanding. Successful completion of course will lead to certification.
