Emergency First Aid at Work
1 day course – HSE recognised. This is the minimum level of First Aid training for a first aider in the work place. EFAW training enables a first aider to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work. Theoretical and practical sessions are included within the course structure.

First Aid Annual Update
The course is aimed at those persons with First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work certificates to refresh their skills and confidence, and keep abreast of changes in procedures. The course is of 3 hours duration and is HSE recommended.

First Aid at Work (initial course)
This course is aimed at employees who have not previously had any training in First Aid. The course is HSE approved, covers all aspects of First Aid and complies fully with the requirements of the First Aid Regulations 1981. The syllabus is designed to include both theoretical and practical sessions delivered over a 3 day period. Successful delegates will be certificated for 3 years.

First Aid at Work (refresher)
This course is aimed at employees whose current First Aid at Work Certificate is due to expire. The course is HSE approved, covers all aspects of First Aid and complies fully with the requirements of the First Aid Regulations 1981. The syllabus is designed to include both theoretical and practical sessions delivered over a 2 day period. Successful delegates will be certificated for 3 years.

First Aid Awareness
3 hr course. This course provides a basic knowledge of life saving techniques. Theoretical and practical sessions are included within the course structure.

Mines Rescue is fully approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to deliver and certificate 'First Aid at Work' training courses.
We train and certificate first aiders who will meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work Regulations.
You should have a first aider available at all times in the workplace.
